Arrival & Departure
When can I check in and when do I have to check out?
Your room is available from 3:00 pm on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, it is available until 11:00 am. A late check-out is possible depending on availability and for a fee – please contact reception.
Can I still use the wellness area on the day of departure?
Yes, for an additional fee you can use the wellness area as well as the afternoon snack on the day of departure.
How does the hotel entrance work at night?
The main entrance is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Outside these hours, you can use your room card to enter the hotel via the ‘Alpenhof’ entrance.
Where can I park my car?
Parking is available opposite the hotel (except in the area reserved for buses). Please do not park at the rear entrances – these are only for loading and unloading luggage.
Can I order a taxi?
Yes, reception will be happy to arrange a taxi for you. Alternatively, you can call directly:

Reception & Services
How can I reach reception and when is it staffed?
Our reception is staffed daily from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. You can reach us by phone at +43 6413 8447 during these hours, and in urgent emergencies also 24/7.
What are the emergency numbers in Austria?

Is there a laundry service?
Yes, a laundry bag and the price list can be found in your wardrobe. Laundry can be handed in at reception and will be returned washed to your room.
Where can I find lost and found items?
If you lose or find something, please contact reception.
Are newspapers or cigarettes available at the hotel?
Current newspapers and magazines are available in the lobby. Cigarettes can be purchased at reception.
What should I do if something in the room is broken?
Please report repairs directly to reception. We will take care of them immediately.
Rooms & Facilities
Are bathrobes available in the rooms?
Yes, bathrobes are provided in your room.
How does the towel service at the hotel work?
Please place used towels on the floor. If you would like to reuse a towel, simply hang it up. Spa towels should not be left in the wellness area but taken back to your room.
Are the rooms equipped with a safe?
Yes, each room has its own safe. An instruction manual is provided.
What equipment is available for excursions?
A rental backpack is available in your room for free use.
How do the room cards work?
Your room card opens your room as well as the hotel entrances. Please also take your card with you in the evening, as the main entrance is locked after the bar closes.
Are TV and radio available in the rooms?
Yes, the channel list can be found next to the TV.
What voltage do the sockets in the hotel have?
All sockets provide 220 volts AC. In bathrooms they are only suitable for devices such as hairdryers or shavers for safety reasons.

When are breakfast, afternoon buffet and dinner served?
- Breakfast: 7:30–10:30 am
- Afternoon buffet: 2:30–4:30 pm
- Dinner: 6:00–8:00 pm
What is included in the afternoon buffet?
From 2:30–4:30 pm we serve soup, a small hot main dish and sweet delicacies.
How is dinner served?
In the evening you can enjoy a 5-course menu with several options and a fine selection of wines.
Is there a bar in the hotel?
Yes, our bar is the perfect place to relax at the end of the day.
Are cocktails available?
Yes, we offer a cocktail menu and will also mix your favorite drink on request.
Is there a special restaurant nearby?
Yes, the rustic Edelweiss Alm with farmhouse museum is only 100 meters away.
Wellness & Relaxation
What are the opening hours of the Green Spa?
The Green Spa is open daily from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm and is reserved for adults aged 12 and above. Children may use the pool area with their parents between 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm.
What facilities are available in the Green Spa?
The spa features a pool area, relaxation areas and saunas (steam bath 55 °C, bio-sauna 60 °C and Finnish sauna 90 °C).
Are children allowed to use the wellness area?
Children under 12 are not allowed in the indoor pool of the Green Spa. An exception applies between 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm, when they may use the pool area with their parents. Outside these times, children under the age of 12 may only use the children's pool.
Is there a separate children’s pool?
Yes, the children’s pool is located on the first basement floor and is open from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm. The water depth is 1.35 m, and no lifeguard is present.
When is the sauna open?
The saunas in the Green Spa are open daily from 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
Is there a swimming biotope at the hotel?
Yes, in summer the natural swimming biotope is available. Please do not enter the marked eco zones. Children may use the biotope at any time. In winter it is frozen – entering is strictly prohibited (danger of breaking through).
Are massages offered?
Yes, an overview can be found in the massage folder in your room, at reception or on our website under "massages". We will gladly book your desired treatment for you.
Is there a day spa offer?
Yes, our Day SPA is at your disposal with a Finnish sauna, BIO sauna, brine steam bath, infrared cabin, Panorama Green Spa and a wellness lounge with teas.
Please book your visit in advance by calling +43 64138447. Upon arrival at reception, you will receive a complimentary bathing basket with a bathrobe, towels and slippers.
Our tip: combine your visit with an Edelweiss organic breakfast – massages can be booked additionally.

What facilities are available for children and teenagers in the hotel?
In the “Meet & Tweet” youth room you will find billiards, table football, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Fun4Four and a chill-out lounge.
Are there sports facilities in the hotel?
Yes, there is a fitness room with Technogym equipment (8:00 am–9:00 pm). In addition, tennis, table tennis and billiards are available.
Can I play tennis at the hotel?
Yes, the hotel’s own tennis court can be used free of charge depending on availability.
Is table tennis available?
Yes, a table tennis table is available. Rackets and balls can be borrowed at reception.
Can I play billiards?
Yes, there is a pool table in the youth room. (€1 per game)
Summer Activities
Where can I find information about the activity programme and excursions?
The current activity programme is available at the reception. Tips on excursion destinations and sights can be found in the brochure stand on the ground floor (opposite the lift) and in the lounge by the wine cabinet.
What outdoor activities are available in summer?
Hiking, Nordic walking, mountain biking, golf, tennis, climbing or simply enjoying nature.
Is hiking equipment available for rent at the hotel?
Yes, hiking maps, hiking backpacks and hiking poles.
Maps are available at reception or in the lounge. Recommended tours are sorted by difficulty level in hiking folders. In addition, panoramic maps (for a fee) and free rental backpacks are available in your room. Hiking poles can be borrowed free of charge at reception.
Is there a bike rental at the hotel?
Yes, rental bikes (hardtail, fully, e-bikes) are available for a fee. Please reserve by 6:00 pm the day before.
What golf opportunities are available?
As the founding hotel of the Golf Club St. Johann, you can play free of charge on two courses. Golf bags can be borrowed free of charge depending on availability.

What winter sports options are available?
Skiing, cross-country skiing, winter hiking, tobogganing, ice skating and curling.
Is there a ski storage room in the hotel?
Yes, there is a ski storage room and a heated room for mountain boots and ski boots with dryers in the annex.
Is there a ski rental at the hotel?
Yes, the hotel has its own rental service with top brands.
Is there a ski school nearby?
Yes, information and online booking are available at www.ski-wagrain.at (location Moadörfl).
Is it possible to rent sledges?
Yes, sledges can be borrowed free of charge at reception.
Booking & Payment
Is a deposit required when booking?
Yes, a deposit is required when booking.
Which payment methods are accepted?
You can pay with EC/Maestro card, Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
How and when can I settle my room bill?
You can pay your room bill at any time at reception, or already the evening before departure. You can also pay conveniently via our app.
How can I cancel or rebook?
The exact cancellation policy will be provided at the time of booking. For rebookings or cancellations, please contact our reception directly.
Hotel policies & special features
Is smoking allowed in the hotel?
Smoking is prohibited throughout the indoor areas. It is permitted on balconies, the sun terrace and in front of the entrances.
Are dogs allowed in the hotel?
Yes, dogs are generally welcome at the hotel. However, please note:
- Dogs are not permitted in the restaurant (except in the Henry restaurant) or in the wellness area.
- According to bathing hygiene regulations, dogs are not allowed to swim in the swimming biotope.
- We ask that you dispose of dog waste throughout the garden area. A dog waste bin is located to the right of the hotel entrance.
- Please do not let dogs run on agricultural meadows, as dog waste can be dangerous for cows.
- The area around the hotel is a hunting ground – dogs must be kept on a leash here.
How does the hotel contribute to environmental protection?
We use biodegradable cleaning products, energy-saving lighting, pellet heating instead of fossil fuels and operate the Green Spa with geothermal energy. Guests can help by taking small measures such as turning off lights and reusing towels.
Does the hotel have a seminar room for conferences?
Yes, we have a modern seminar room that can accommodate up to 30 people. Further information is available at reception.
